Eligibility and Requirements

  • Riders must be 16 years of age or older.

  • Anyone under the influence of alcohol is not permitted to ride.

  • Completion of the safety briefing is mandatory.

  • Riders must pass the traffic rules test.

  • Pregnant individuals are advised not to ride.

  • Rentals may be suspended in the event of rain or strong winds.

Our Safety Measures

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, all riders must complete the following before use:

On the day of your rental, our staff will explain how to operate the vehicle at the rental desk on the first floor of the Cape Hedo Tourist Information Center. Once the briefing is complete, you’ll be ready to go!

Please ride safely and be considerate of local residents and pedestrians.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation Fees−If you cancel for personal reasons, the following cancellation fees will apply.

*Any bank transfer fees or other charges associated with the refund may be the customer’s responsibility.

  • Changes to Your Rental Date

If you wish to change your rental date, please contact us as early as possible.

Changes are subject to availability, and we may not always be able to accommodate your preferred date.

  • Cancellation or Suspension of Rentals

Rentals may be suspended in the following circumstances to ensure your safety:

  • Strong winds

  • Heavy rain

  • Thunderstorms

  • Poor road conditions

  • Any other situation deemed unsafe by our staff

If rentals are suspended, you may reschedule or receive a full refund.

Please note that rentals may be cancelled at short notice due to sudden changes in weather conditions.

We will generally contact you no later than two hours before your scheduled start time with an update on the day’s weather conditions.

  • When We May Refuse a Rental

For safety reasons, we may refuse to provide a rental in the following cases:

  • You are under the influence of alcohol.

  • You do not follow staff instructions.

  • You have not completed the Safety Guide, traffic rules video, and confirmation quiz.

  • Our staff determine that you are unable to ride safely due to illness or another health condition.

In such cases, the booking may be treated as a customer-initiated cancellation.

  • Late Arrivals

If you expect to arrive after your scheduled reservation time, please be sure to contact us.

If you arrive more than 30 minutes late without contacting us, your reservation may be treated as a no-show.

  • Damage to the Vehicle or Equipment

If the vehicle or equipment is damaged or lost due to intentional misconduct or gross negligence by the rider, you may be charged for the cost of repairs or replacement.

Examples include:

  • Significant damage caused by a fall

  • Entering unpaved roads

  • Reckless riding

  • Riding under the influence of alcohol

  • Loss of rental equipment

  • Cancellations by the Rental Facility

If we are unable to provide the rental due to a vehicle malfunction or similar issue, we will issue a full refund of the rental fee.

Please note that we are unable to reimburse transportation, accommodation, or any other incidental expenses.

Insurance Coverage

  • If insurance such as TS Mark Insurance or facility liability insurance is included in the rental fee, briefly describing the coverage and its scope—such as bodily injury and property damage—can help reassure customers.
